Cult Russian film directory Stanislav Govorukhin has been shooting a humorous love story called "Hearts of Four." In August and September 2009, Govorukhin was filming in the historic Odessa city centre, home of the famous Duc de Rechileu Monument, Potemkins Stairs, and the incomparable Odessa Opera House.
The principal shooting location in Odessa was the legendary Lond Hotel, where the film's main characters - played by Elena Jakovleva, Anna Samokhina, Olga Krasko, Victor Sukhorukov - had stayed.
The old Londonskaya Hotel and the well-known film director have a special history. In 1988, Stanislav Govorukhin held the First International Film Festival with Marcello Mastrojani, Nikita Mikhalkov, Oleg Yankovsky here. The Londonskaya's lovely Summer garden courtyard becomes the famous director's obligatory place to visit whenever he stay Odessa.
